Christmas Markets

From November 25, 2009. Geneva  kicks things off on the 25th, followed the next day by Montreux which many consider to be the very best Swiss Christmas market. While crafts and plenty of other potential gifts are on sale, food as always remains a big ticket item at these events, which are plentiful: there are markets in Bern, Basel, Bulle, Chur (according to many, Switzerland’s biggest), Neuchâtel, Zurich, and more - go to Switzerland Tourism (Events: Advent, Christmas and New Years customs) for a full run-down that includes other potentially interesting resources for foodies during this timeframe.
