Fall Festival, Domaines et Terroirs, Satigny (Geneva)

November 21-22, 2009. From up-market fine food and wine store Domaines et Terroirs in Satigny, which is also the sales point for the owners’ Domaine de laRoselle wines, this word from Kathy Meinen:

”We’ll be officially launching our Cabernet Franc 2007. You may well remember that 2007 was an excellent year for Geneva’s vineyards. This Cabernet is still a bit young and rough around the edges, but it will cellar for 11-12 years. You will be able to taste the other 2007 wines as well.  If you like Chardonnay (the 2007 is crisp and fruity - reminds me of a Granny Smith apple), take advantage of the discount to stock up. Alas, there isn’t much left!

‘Sneak-peek’ tasting of our 2008 vintage. You can taste our Gamaret, Merlot and Raidillon 2008 during the festival weekend.   These will be officially launched during the “Caves Ouvertes 2010″ next May.
New Wines from Other Regions. We also have new wines from Spain and Italy for your tasting pleasure.
Tasting of gourmet food items. Taste some pasta from Puglia,  risotto al limone, and different sauces for crostini or pasta. For those of you with a sweet tooth, there’s also artisan-made honey (with figs, pears and wild strawberries) and fruit coulis.
Christmas Gift Items. In addition to the many baskets and gift cases that we can arrange for you on a personalized basis, we now have a few holiday gifts.

  • a set of Italian extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar in old-fashioned apothecary bottles (50 cl)
  • a “Swiss-themed” basket full of Swiss goodies and wine
  • butter and cheese spreaders with either holiday or wine and cheese themes

Take advantage of our 10% Festival Discount. As usual, you’ll benefit from a 10% discount on your purchase of CHF 100 or  more (paid using cash, Maestro/EC and Postcard).”

Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
