November 4, 2009. From 7:30 p.m. onwards, an evening of dinner and music at the Geneva Squash Club, Chemin du Joli-Bois 3-5, 1292 Chambesy. The cuisine is described by organizers Fiza Khan and Sunita Sehmi as ‘’indopakistani”. Here’s what’s on the dinner menu:
Appetizers
Assorted Vegetable Pakoras
Mixed vegetables coated in gram flour batter and deep fried in oil
&
Beef Samosas
Parcels of crunchy pastry filled with minced beef, onions and coriander leaves
Served with Cucumber Raita and Mint Chutney
Main Course
Chicken Masala
Boneless chicken tossed in a sauce of fresh tomatoes, flavored with ginger, mixed spices and fenugreek leaves
Served with Tarka Dhaal
Creamed lentils finished with garlic, cumin and fresh herbs
Vegetable Jalfrezi
Broccoli, cauliflower and peppers tossed with green spring onions, cumin and crushed black pepper cooked in an aromatic sauce
Saffron Rice
Basmati rice with onions and saffron
Assorted Nan Basket
Selection of three different breads - Plain, Coriander & Chili and Cumin
Dessert
Pista Kulfi
Traditional ice cream flavored with pistachio, nuts and cardamom
Chai
Masala tea
The price of the evening is CHF 30; drinks are not included. They will have to be purchased at the bar of the Squash Club.
