Little Christmas at the Richemond, Geneva

Until December 21, 2008. The Hotel Richemond’s Sapori Ristorante has come up with a preview menu of some of the dishes that will grace their Christmas lunch and New Year’s Eve dinner menus. They are calling it the “Petit Noël” menu, and it is available every night- yes, seven/seven - from 7 p.m. at CHF 85  a person (excluding drinks). Things kick off with a scallop, caviar and lamb’s lettuce starter and move on to barley soup with boletus mushrooms and black Norcia truffle. You then have a choice of fish (St. Pierre fillet) or meat (lamb) before your Semifreddo with chestnuts and gingerbread.  Consultant chef at Sapori is Fulvio Pierangelini (of the  fabled Gambero  Rosso in San Vicenzo, Tuscany), whom an Italian guidebook recently named Italy’s top chef.
